Terms of Sale and License
Last updated November 8, 2026. Plain English, short as we can make it.
Who we are
Glow Shop is sold by Glow Shop 3D (glowshop3d.com). Questions: [email protected]. Payments are handled by Stripe; your receipt may say the order was "Sold through Link", Stripe's checkout, which collects the sales tax for us.
What you're buying
- A license to use the Glow Shop app (Glow Shop Maker or Glow Shop Seller) on one Windows computer. You pay once and keep it; it never stops working.
- A year of updates and fixes from the day your key is made. After that, the version you have stays yours. Renewal ($40) adds another year; the Maker to Seller upgrade ($25) moves your license to Seller with the same updates date.
- Your key is made for your computer from the code you give at checkout and emailed to the address you used, usually within 24 hours. Getting a new computer? Email us its code and we'll move your key, free.
Your license
- Use Glow Shop yourself, on the computer your key is for. Please don't share, copy, resell or post the app, its code or your key.
- Glow Shop and its code, built-in art, samples and guides belong to Glow Shop 3D. Glow Shop also uses open-source parts, listed with their licenses in LICENSES.txt.
What you make is yours
- The lamps, signs, boxes and other designs you make, and the print files Glow Shop creates for them, are yours to print, use, give and sell, with either edition. The built-in art and samples are original Glow Shop art and are fine to use in what you sell.
- Your own pictures and words: use art you made or have permission to use. Logos, characters, team marks and other people's art belong to their owners; for your own personal use that's between you and them, but selling pieces with them needs the owner's permission. Glow Shop doesn't give you that permission.
Print results
Print results. Glow Shop makes design files. How a print turns out depends on your printer, its settings, your filament and how they're looked after. Failed or poor prints caused by things like wet filament, poor bed adhesion, a clogged or worn nozzle, wrong or changed slicer settings, an uncalibrated printer, drafts or temperature, or bought parts that differ from the ones listed are not defects in Glow Shop or its files, and aren't covered by a refund after the 14-day window. Every printer is different: the settings in the files are suggested starting points. Change them to suit your printer and filament, and use Bench test in the app to check fits before a long print.
Found a bug? We'll fix it. If a file itself is wrong (a part that won't fit when your printer is printing other things right, a missing piece, a wrong size, or something in the app that doesn't work), email [email protected] with a screenshot or photo, your printer and your Glow Shop version (Report a problem in the app fills these in). We'll fix it in a free update for everyone in their year of updates.
Lights, batteries, motors and safety
- The designs are made for the LED lights in each design's What to buy list: battery, USB and 12 V LEDs, and LED bulbs in ready-made cord kits. Use LED only. Never put a candle, an incandescent or halogen bulb, or any hot light inside a printed piece: plastic softens and can burn.
- Anything that plugs into a wall outlet (a lamp cord kit, socket or power supply) should be a ready-made, listed product (UL or ETL). Glow Shop's designs don't ask you to wire mains power yourself; don't modify those parts.
- Bought parts (lights, batteries, LED strips, servos, controllers, power supplies) are made and guaranteed by their makers. Follow their instructions and warnings. The motor and wired builds involve simple low-voltage wiring and soldering: take care, and don't leave them powered and unattended until you're sure of your work.
- Prints can have small parts. Keep them away from young children and pets.
- Links to parts and filament are suggestions; prices and products change. On our website, some links are Amazon links: as an Amazon Associate, Glow Shop earns from qualifying purchases.
Refunds
A full refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. See Refunds.
What you need
Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and a 3D printer with its slicer. The app runs on your computer; it uses the internet only to check for updates and to open links you click. Try it first, free, in your browser at glowshop3d.com/try.
The fine print
- Glow Shop is provided as is. We work hard to make it right and we fix what's wrong, but we can't promise it will be error-free or suit every printer, part or purpose.
- As far as the law allows, our total responsibility for anything to do with Glow Shop is limited to what you paid for it, and we're not responsible for indirect losses such as filament, printer time, parts or lost sales.
- We may update these terms; the version on this page when you bought applies to your purchase. These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, USA. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law where you live.
